The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) provides useful data regarding hospitals, nursing homes, and home health agencies that serve patients with Medicare or Medicaid.  Their website is located at http://cms.hhs.gov/

Data from CMS is updated quarterly and is found at https://data.medicare.gov/, from which we use the following data sets:

• Nursing Home Compare

Currently we use Hospital Compare for the majority of our public use data, which includes the following sets of measures:

• Process and Structural CMS Measures - Heart Failure, Heart Attack, Pneumonia, and Surgical Care measure.  Also includes Structural CMS measures
• HCAHPS Measures - Patient Satisfaction Survey result data
• EDT Data - Emergency Department Timeliness
• Readmissions and Mortality Data
